During this workshop, we explored various ways to use Geometric Construction techniques in ArcGIS Pro. These techniques do not use COGO (coordinate geometry), but use other means to ensure the geometric relationships between features are correctly maintained. The constraints and tools reviewed include Line Construction Tools, Parallel, Perpendicular, Distance, Circular Arcs, Spiral Curve, Copy Parallel, Extend or Trim, Continue Feature, Line Intersection, Fillet, Array, Mirror, and Offset. This was a great refresher in mapping things “old school”.
