During this workshop, we walked participants through the whole process of creating parcels in the parcel fabric from a CAD file. The session covered every significant step, beginning with bringing the CAD data into the GIS environment and preparing it for use. From there, we demonstrated how to generate parcel features, make the necessary adjustments to align them with existing controls and the surrounding fabric, and complete the finalization procedures to ensure clean, accurate, and ready-to-use parcel records. It was a practical, hands-on opportunity to see the entire workflow from start to finish.
