This workshop offers a practical, hands-on exploration of mapping and managing parcels using a sectional breakdown within the Public Land Survey System (PLSS)—the foundational land division system used throughout much of the United States. Participants will learn how to interpret legal land descriptions, subdivide sections into aliquot parts (e.g., quarter-sections, sixteenths), and accurately construct parcels that conform to township, range, and section data.
